David B. Hatfield, Ph.D., BCBA
Dr. David Hatfield specializes in child, adult, and family practice issues like:
- pervasive developmental disabilities (e.g., autism and aspergers)
- intellectual disabilities
- disruptive behavior disorders (e.g., ADHD, oppositional, and conduct issues)
- anxiety disorders (e.g., trauma, social anxiety, panic, and school refusal)
- mood disorders (i.e., depression and bipolar issues)
- pediatric psychology (e.g., medical complications, adjustment to diagnosis, medical adherence and compliance, and traumatic brain injury)
Dr. Hatfield is one of the very few practitioners in the State of Colorado to hold both licensure as a Psychologist and Board Certified Behavior Analyst. He is a member of the American Psychological Association, Association for the Advancement of Behavior Therapy, and Association for Applied Behavior Analysis. He obtained his masters degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Florida State University, and doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He was Chief Resident in Psychology during his internship at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, and completed his postdoctoral training at Methodist Hospital, Neuro-rehabilitation Unit. Dr. Hatfield has practiced in Ohio, Florida, Mississippi, Indiana, and Washington state before coming back to Colorado in 2001.
Dr. Hatfield is married with two sons. He enjoys hiking, trail running, landscaping, and spending time with his family. He actively supports the Sierra Club, the Humane Society, and the Lance Armstrong Foundation.
